Secure Remote Administration

  • Are current government or industry mandates requiring you to consolidate multiple network infrastructures?

  • Are you looking to benefit from consolidating multiple network infrastructures into one but government mandates require you to ensure the same level of security as separate infrastructures?

  • Are corporate constraints in budgeting, space, or other areas driving you to collapse multiple networks into one?

  • Are you looking for a Common Criteria (CC) certified VPN solution for network consolidation purposes?

In traditional Government and Corporate infrastructures it is common for several parallel network wiring infrastructures to exist side by side. Parallel networks may coexist in order to satisfy security requirements to separate the traffic of different sensitivity of data or application within the network. Given the expense of supporting, maintaining, and housing multiple networks, it has become highly desirable to reduce the number of networks where possible. Most corporations and government agencies are driving Network Administrators to do more with less, to reduce redundancy where it is not needed. This is where Cryptek’s secure VPN technology can help.

In a typical site-to-site network connection architecture for classified data, parallel network connections are often used to carry the traffic from different communities or organizations to ensure security and separation of data. This redundant and costly approach can, where applicable, be streamlined by encrypting each network’s data in a separate tunnel using a Cryptek CV100 VPN, and then delivering the combined data stream as a single network segment to a high assurance bulk encryptor at the perimeter (typically, a Type 1 encryptor). This results in a single, consolidated site-to-site network segment reducing redundancy and the associated costs. The same cost reduction can also be achieved in client/server architectures if the clients and servers are located at different sites. Clients and servers for different communities can leverage the same internal infrastructure for delivery of the information to the appropriate users.

Cryptek’s secure VPN products have been accredited and deployed at DoD installations to achieve protected network consolidation. Cryptek VPN products are FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified and Common Criteria validated at an Evaluation Level 4 (EAL-4).
